Kal grew up in Durham as an avid musician and athlete. With STEM interests, he applied his skills to help and heal others. Pursuing an MD/Ph.D. at UPenn, Kal hopes to practise medicine while developing medical devices. He also makes service a priority by leading initiatives like Minds-On. Having seen the organization grow year by year, Kal is most proud of the mentoring opportunities Minds-On offers to both our youth and our tutors. Encouraging our members to engage in their communities beyond the classroom, he takes pride in helping provide future generations of leaders with the tools and confidence to make a difference.

A product of West Lynde Public School, Clayton is a lover of school, sports and is an advocate of mental health. He currently works at MGH/Harvard Medical school as a psychiatry researcher and dreams of completing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. After years as a member, his favourite thing about Minds-On is its focus on the holistic development of the program's youth. He loves providing our students with opportunities for mentorship, academic growth and physical activity.

Joining Minds-On in 2024 as a volunteer, Kiara understands the value of education and the impact it can create. Having earned a graduate certificate in Advertising - Account Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information and Technoculture, she hopes to spread the word about Minds-On with creativity.

Xavier graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Commerce. During his time there, he was a varsity athlete on the Men's soccer team. He is currently back at McMaster to complete his MBA. He has a passion for volunteering and aims to be an inspiration to the youth in the Black community. Xavier is working to apply his business knowledge to help grow Minds-on through research, grants, and business planning.

Calvin is a recent graduate from Western University with a double major in History and Political Science. While at University, he discovered a passion for student affairs, advocacy, and mentorship. Calvin aims to unlock the curiosity of students, encourage them to dream big, and provide them with the resources to explore opportunities and achieve their goals.

Jedi graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) with a Child and Youth Care degree and a minor in Psychology. Pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Lincoln Alexander School of Law at TMU, she hopes to be an advocate for children, youth, and their families. Jedi looks forward to applying her knowledge and experience to help develop youth programs at Minds-On and build relationships with community members.
