Kal grew up in Durham as an avid musician and athlete. With STEM interests, he applied his skills to help and heal others. Pursuing an MD/Ph.D. at UPenn, Kal hopes to practise medicine while developing medical devices. He also makes service a priority by leading initiatives like Minds-On. Having seen the organization grow year by year, Kal is most proud of the mentoring opportunities Minds-On offers to both our youth and our tutors. Encouraging our members to engage in their communities beyond the classroom, he takes pride in helping provide future generations of leaders with the tools and confidence to make a difference.
